Many companies advertise “Free Estimate With Repair”. As we all know, nothing in life is free. It’s a gimmick to get you to call them. Unfortunately, in most cases, their labor charges more than cover their “FREE” estimate.
Always make sure the company you’re calling is “Factory Service”. This is very important. Many companies advertise in a way to make you think you are dealing with a factory service company. They will come out for a repair and tell you to call a “factory service” company due to parts and/or labor being under warranty, but you still owe them money for their service call and diagnosis charge. These unnecessary charges can be avoided by asking the simple question: “Are you factory service?”
Factory service technicians are constantly being trained by the factory who built your product. Technicians are taught the latest products coming out, error codes, up to date diagnostic procedures; and are provided service update bulletins and provided access to the technical assistance only allowed to factory service technicians. With all this on your side your product is going to be repaired quickly and efficiently by a professional.
